We attended the 6th European Meeting on Planarian Biology (EMPB) 2024 in Barcelona to discuss current developments in planarian research.
Martijn Heleven presented his work on the role of early MAPK/ERK activation and redox signals during regeneration in an oral presentation. In addition, he discussed his poster on the role of riboflavin in planarian sensing.
Charlotte Segnana presented her poster on the neuronal control of intestinal regeneration in planaria.
Karolien Bijnens discussed planarians as an alternative in vivo model to study micro- and nanoparticle-induced neurodevelopmental toxicity.
It was an amazing opportunity to meet fellow researchers and to dive deeper into the fascinating world of planarian biology.
